As the name suggests, Archetype Performance Solutions strives to provide the model for performance improvement solutions. We do that primarily by helping individuals and organizations follow a simple three-step process:

Although many people might consider us a training company, we hold to a broad definition of training. Training is not the end goal. Performance improvement that leads to on-the-job competence should be the end goal. Training by itself may not bring about the improved performance and on-the-job competence organizations really want. Consequently, we work with organizations to determine solutions that will lead to improved performance and associated on-the-job competence. We then help design, develop and implement those solutions. When training is required as part of the solution, we include several levels of evaluation to make sure training leads to the desired performance improvement.

For us,

Performance Improvement
is getting the right information,
to the right people,
at the right time,
using the right medium and methods.

The "right information" represents skills, knowledge, and abilities people need. The "right people" are those people, and only those people, who need to use the skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform their jobs. The "right time" is as near as possible to the time when people need to use the skills, knowledge, and abilities.

There can be a large number of "right medium and methods". The medium and methods depend on the audience, the information, and many other factors. Some of the right medium and methods include: instructor-led training, eLearning (in many different formats), job aids, a knowledge management system, educational videos, structured on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring, on-the-job skills verification, and others.
